THE COOKBOOK; "CHALLENGING THE STATUS QUO"
JESUS SERIES (A STUDY THROUGH THE BOOK OF LUKE)
SPECIAL GUEST - PASTOR JASON CULLISON
MISSIONS TO VIETNAM
We have limited our missions reach to those that we can truly invest in; one such ministry is the Morris family and the work they are doing in Vietnam.
From Easter to Emmaus to the Upper Room, we find ourselves in the Book of Acts now. Jesus is alive and has been teaching for 40 days about the Kingdom of God. The two disciples walking to Emmaus had a life changing experience with Jesus that has shaken their hearts. Few people will ever believe them or even understand them.
LET LOVE RAGE
Loving people just like they are....not as they should be should be the expected norm for every believer. How come it isn't that way?
Jesus, facing a tough week ahead towards the cross, was singularly focused, "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." (John 14"3) He has only one mission; face the cross, death, and hell...defeat it and then rescue His people. No pressure right? It's the longest week of His life. He will hide himself in prayer. He will be confronted by chief priest, scribes, and elders. His authority and identity will be tested. His friends are about to betray Him...some for money and some out of plain fear. The amount of stress upon Him in these moments will culminate in blood soaked prayer.
"PETER'S LETTERS" Series
"I love Peter's perspective here, "If the righteous are barely saved..." After everything Peter has been through, the awe and wonder that is the grace of Christ Jesus, is till something to behold. Even the saved have a hard time believing it to be true when we're honest about our own heart."
"GET OUT OF THE ARK"
"Sometimes you've got to get uncomfortable!" Pastor Kyle Embry
"MOSAIC STATE OF THE UNION"
"I've never felt so sure of what message the church is being called to at this hour and to this generation. The call to RETURN is so strong that it is like Christmas songs in December on the radio...doesn't matter where you turn, it's on every station." Pastor Jim Coursey
This Christmas everyone will read the "Christmas Story" as told from the Gospel According to Luke, but Matthews version presents us with the depths of our depravity in the midst of the greatest moment in history. From a rough genealogy, to trusting a few kids, and even the lack of the Church's ability to understand the signs of what was coming...God still made decided to humble Himself, become a man, and be birthed into a world set on killing Him.
“We are a generation that do not prize being still. We are antsy, easily bored, and feel the desperate need to be entertained. Do you even remember what we did before cell phones? We’ve replaced our quiet time with noise and we’ve subtly trained our bodies away from communion with God."
"WAR" SERIES (Previous Series)
Sermon transcribed into PDF format;
Joshua’s generation came out from the wilderness 40 years later to see God’s promised land and have the courage to take it. The next generations grew up without having to struggle or fight for anything. A people who don’t know how to war end up overtaken.
Judges 3:1-2 reads, "These are the nations that the Lord left in the land to test those Israelites who had not experienced the wars of Caanan. He did this to teach warfare to generations of Israelites who had no experience in battle."
What’s wrong with our world today? The Church has failed it. We are a generation that has never had to fight, because we’ve been raised by a generation that hadn’t had to fight. The proof is in the spiritual decline of our country. Even more disturbing is the decline in people, who already attend church, who don't even have a basic understanding of the Word of God. How long will we refuse this spiritual battle that lays at our feet. It stands at the door, delivered by God Himself. Just like he allowed the enemies of Israel to remain in the land in order to teach them warfare, the same holds true today.
We must go to war.
